Alongside our in-studio teen classes, we offer online group art courses on Zoom. Online art classes are perfect for teen artists joining long-distance for those who are homeschooling.
PROFESSIONAL LEVEL ART INSTRUCTION FROM HOME
Online teen art classes are structured with comprehensive curriculums. Class meets once a week for the duration of the course. If you miss the start date, you can join at prorated fee.
Classes are hosted LIVE by a professional teaching artist. We provide essential exercises and instruction to build a solid foundation in your preferred media.
Students can also pick single-class sign-ups. Please note, single classes cannot substitute a full semester but can be an introduction and/or a creative activity if you’re stuck indoors in bad weather!
Our online art courses are on Zoom at Eastern Standard Time and the Zoom link will be sent to your email 30 minutes before class
Registration cuts off 12 hours before class.
FALL II (Nov 2-Dec 31)
ONLINE Portfolio Preparation for Art High School Applications
We offer the opportunity to create unique works of art for your portfolio application to art high schools! With the support & guidance of a professional teaching artist, hone your skills & techniques, pick up professional tips, and learn how to choose personal subject matter to make your portfolio stand out. This class is designed around the specifications and portfolio requirements of art high schools in New York City. We have had huge success with former students getting into prestigious schools like La Guardia.

ONLINE Color Theory for Drawing and Painting
This class will explore the importance of color in conveying mood, depth, contrast, and emotion in students’ work. We’ll review the color wheel, color harmony, and the context of how colors are used. Learn to use a limited palette to create a range of color contrasts, learn color mixing, and develop an intuitive color sense in drawing and painting.

All online lessons are provided via Zoom. please make sure you have downloaded the App prior to class start time. Make sure you are using the device you downloaded to.
We recommend prepping for your lesson at least 15 minutes before class start time, gather your materials and check your connection- you don’t want to miss anything!
We close access to our group classes 15 minutes after start time, as joining late upsets the class flow for others.
Please be mindful if you join late you will not be provided additional class time and lessons will not be extended.
ONLINE Lessons start promptly as advertised. If you fail to join the lesson on time, for whatever reason- technical or personal. We do NOT provide extra time or extend the lesson.
Please understand our teachers are professional and only available for the lesson as advertised.
We recommend preparing ahead of time to troubleshoot any technical issues that might come up.
If you wish to add more time please book an Online Private Art lesson
If you fail to join your online lesson we do not provide make ups or rescheduling.
