LEYSAN NIGMATOVA
Creatively Wild Teaching Artist
Leysan Nigmatova is an artist, freelancer, yogi, and seeker. She was born and raised in Bashkortostan, Russia. Leysan moved to New York City almost a decade ago to explore the world and learn a new language and culture. Leysan’s journey as an artist began as a way to express her own experiences and struggles in a foreign country. Although Leysan has two Bachelor's degrees in Law and Business Management from the University of Bashkortostan, Russia, her passion for art drove her to pursue another Bachelor's degree in Art at Brooklyn College. While pursuing her Bachelor's, Leysan worked as a caregiver and a counselor at kids camp. Leysan is constantly exploring new techniques and mediums to push the boundaries of her creativity and create work that is both visually striking and impactful. Leysan believes that art has the power to connect us, evoke emotions, and bring beauty into our lives. Leysan teaches our Kids classes as well as works at camp throughout the year. Leysan is available for private art lessons.
